Wigglegrams and Twitpic
We have a development build of 3D Camera 1.2 that we’re testing on our new iPhone 3GS, and today, we added initial support for sending wigglegrams to Twitpic (check out our first test image). The challenge with wigglegrams is that they either require special code on a web page to flip between the left and right images, or they need to be saved in a format that allows animation.
Of the common image formats, only GIF (the Graphics Interchange Format) supports animation across all web browsers. Unfortunately, the iPhone doesn’t have built-in functionality to create GIF images, nor will it allow a GIF image to be saved to the Camera Roll. The good news is that Twitpic does support animated GIFs, and 3D Camera 1.2 is able to create them.
This is only one of the many requested features that will be available as a free update to current 3D Camera owners.
